Concerning avatars.
The maximum avatar size on this site is 100x100, which is standard size.
If you want to use a personal avatar on this site, here's what you need to do:
Save your avatar to an offsite image hosting site (like photobucket, or tinypic.com. Then, log into to TBT.com. Under the header click "profile". Scroll down to the end of the page and there is an avatar section. Copy and paste the URL of the avatar you just uploaded into the last box on the avatar section, titled "Link to Off-Site Avatar". Then hit "submit" and you're done!
If you are having problems, please PM one of the staff and they will be able to assist you, and ultimately upload the avatar you want if all else fails.
Concerning Signatures
Just FYI, the maximum number of characters you can put in the signature box is 300.
We ask that you keep your signature size no larger than 600(L)X350(w).
This is for a couple of reasons, most importantly because keeping it to that size will help others who may have slower internet connections load the site. The other, less important reason being that we don't want the site pages to be stretched out.
Don't be surprised if you receive a PM asking you to resize your image in your signature.
To put a signature in your profile:
Upload the image you want to a free offsite image site like photobucket, or tinypic.com. Copy the DIRECT url, and go to the Profile page on TBT.
In the Profile Information section, there will be the "Signature" line, with a large text box.

Past that tag into that box, with the http://www.yourimagehere replaced with the actual direct URL of the picture you uploaded. Hit save.
